Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CashNest mobile application ("App") operated by CashNest ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using CashNest, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Account Registration

To use CashNest, you must create an account using a valid email address or a supported third-party sign-in (Google). You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

CashNest offers a free tier with limited features and a Premium subscription with full access.

• Free trial: New users receive a 7-day free trial of Premium features. No charge is made during the trial period.
• Monthly plan: $1.99 USD per month, billed monthly.
• Yearly plan: $19.99 USD per year, billed annually.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Billing: All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. CashNest does not store payment card information.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued.
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

4. Free Tier Limits

Free accounts are subject to the following limits:

• Up to 3 active budgets.
• Up to 20 expenses per week.
• Up to 5 split bills per week.
• No access to goals, assets, or advanced analytics.

These limits may change over time. Premium subscribers have unlimited access to all features.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App.
• Use automated tools to access or scrape the App.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive.

6. Intellectual Property

CashNest and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Your financial data remains yours. We do not claim ownership of any data you enter into the App.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

CashNest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses. The App provides personal finance tracking tools only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CashNest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data or financial decisions made based on information in the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
